Canadian Wildlife:
a legacy to protect
At the beginning
of a new millenium, we feel it is important to pay attention to
such contemporary subjects as: the environment, the endangered
species and ecology.
With this series
of paintings, depicting Canadian endangered species, François
Pattee tried to convey a feeling of something precarious and beautiful,
something that might not be with us for a very ling time.
Different techniques
were used, from the realistic approach to a more modern concept.
With his traditionally conservation-minded culture, the artist
has made use of several Indian American artefacts that help bring
a human dimension into the project.
